2026 Poteau Lady Pirates – Slow Pitch Softball Preview – Presented by Dowden-Roberts Funeral and Cremation Center

POTEAU LADY PIRATES

Coach: Ryan Dill

OUTLOOK

“This is the first season back for Poteau slow pitch since not playing for several years now,” said head coach Ryan Dill. “Most of our fast pitch players will come back out in the spring and play slow pitch as we return it. The girls are excited to get to get back out on the dirt in the spring and compete. We should be very competitive in our class!”

At the center of that optimism is Emma Walker, a high-level two-way standout. “Emma is a middle or corner infielder, known for great athleticism!” Dill said. “She is committed to play D1 softball at Creighton! She is a junior and is very explosion at the plate and is a game changer on defense. We look for her to lead us in slow pitch and well as fastpitch. Her leadership on and off the field will be a key to our success this spring!”

Poteau will also lean on a promising trio of freshmen as underclassmen to watch. “Braelieh Isbell – freshman third baseman/utility. Moriah Painter – freshman middle infielder. Kira Reineman – freshman catcher/outfielder,” Dill said, noting the group’s versatility and importance to the future of the program.

Senior leadership will come from Keira Cox and Gracie Spradley, who bring experience and stability to the lineup. “Keira Cox – Sr., 1st base/pitcher. Gracie Spradley – CF,” Dill said, pointing to their roles as key pieces in the infield and outfield cores as Poteau reestablishes its slow pitch identity.

With Walker’s explosiveness, the versatility of Isbell, Painter and Reineman, and the senior presence of Cox and Spradley, Dill said the Lady Pirates’ return to slow pitch is built on talent, leadership and excitement to compete in the spring.
